WORKSHOP PROGRAM: You can join one or all

Workshop 1: Presence

When: Saturday 29th March - 14:00 - 18:00
Theme:
Presence through embracing change.
Programme: 1h15 yoga / 15min tea break / 2h30 clay workshop

Description:

In this session, we will explore the concept of presence through a creative meditation, sculpting and colouring clay objets, focusing on how we can embrace change and let go of rigid expectations. Much like clay, we are ever-evolving, shaped by our experiences. Together, we’ll create pieces that flow with the natural changes in shape, texture, and color.

Through yoga philosophy, we’ll reflect on the impermanence of life and practice being fully present in the moment as we shape the clay. We’ll also discuss how embracing change is a form of healing, allowing us to become more in tune with our inner selves.

Focus:

  • Gentle yoga flow to bring awareness to breath and body.

  • Sculpting with intention, allowing the clay to shape itself, almost like in a dialogue.

  • Creating abstract art objects working with splash techniques.

  • Guided meditation on change, impermanence, and self-acceptance.

Workshop 2: Authenticity

When: Saturday 26th April - 14:00 - 18:00. Theme: Integrating all aspects of ourselves to create from a place of authenticity.

Programme: 1h15 yoga / 15min tea break / 2h30 clay workshop

Description:

Authenticity is about honoring all parts of ourselves, even those we may feel are fragmented or hidden. In this workshop, we will use 2 shades of clay to explore the integration of our shadow self with our light, through a marmorizing techique. While sculpting in silent meditation, we will invite all parts of who we are to come together, observing how embracing our entire being can lead to self-expression without fear or judgment.

Drawing from yoga philosophy, we will explore the balance between the individual and the universal, and build awareness on connection and unity.

Focus:

  • Yoga flow in creative sequence.

  • Guided Meditation on embracing all the different parts of who we are.

  • Sculpting as a form of personal expression, embracing all aspects of ourselves.

  • Journaling and reflection on authenticity and self-expression.

Workshop 3: Earth Element

When: Saturday 17th May - 14:00 - 18:00. Theme: Grounding techniques through connecting with the Earth element.

Programme: 1h15 yoga / 15min tea break / 2h30 clay workshop

Description: This workshop is about understanding the purpose of grounding in order to find stability, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. Drawing inspiration from the Earth element, grounding practices help us bring our ideas, dreams, and intentions into the physical world, providing us with strong foundations for our desires.

The Earth element is associated with physical vitality, growth, and strength. At the same time, Earth energy offers an internal sense of calm, reducing anxiety or feelings of chaos. It creates a secure environment, especially when dealing with emotional turbulence or overwhelm.

Focus:

  • Grounding yoga flow, through poses such as Mountain, Tree and Warriors.

  • Pranayama techniques and breathwork for grounding.

  • Practices for mindfulness, connecting with the Earth element.

  • Making your own art objet with clay, emphasising on grounding, using only your

hands as tools and paint with your fingers.

Workshop 4: From the Heart

When: Saturday 14th June - 14:00 - 18:00. Theme: Cultivating love and compassion through the act of creation.

Programme: 1h15 yoga / 15min tea break / 2h30 clay workshop

Description:

In this workshop, we will explore the profound power of love as the foundation for creation. Just as the heart is the center of our being, it is through love that we truly connect to ourselves and others. Using clay, we will create forms that symbolize openness, compassion, and connection, allowing the heart to guide the creative process.

In yoga, we will focus on heart-opening postures and practices that help release tension and foster self-love and compassion. By connecting deeply with the heart space, we can create art that radiates out into the world.

Focus:

  • Heart-opening yoga Flow.

  • Mantra Chanting.

  • Clay Sculpting with the intention to create from a place of love and connection.

  • Guided meditation to connect with the heart space and open to love.

Workshop 5: Thrive in Flow

When: Saturday 5th July - 14:00 - 18:00. Theme: The natural flow of creativity, in connection with your inner artist.

Programme: 1h15 yoga / 15min tea break / 2h30 clay workshop

Description:

Our final workshop in the series will focus on embodying the creative flow state, where we let go of self-judgment and allow our hands and hearts to guide the clay. The process of sculpting will be a metaphor for allowing creativity to arise naturally, without attachment to outcome. We will discuss the concept of Shakti (divine creative energy in yoga philosophy) and how to tap into it.

You'll be guided in creating an object of your own imagination, with whatever comes up in the very moment. Come and surprise yourself!

Focus:

  • Yoga flow designed to open hips and shoulders, allowing creativity to flow uninhibited.

  • Sculpting with an emphasis on fluidity and spontaneity, with minimal external input.

  • Inspiring readings during your creation.

  • Final mediation and journaling on your personal take-aways in flow state.
